Montana residents may be interested in learning more about recent data collected regarding car accidents and visits to the emergency room. Data published by the federal government states that during 2012, over 2.5 million people were brought to the emergency room for injuries suffered in a car crash. The total equates to a rate of almost 7,000 inured accident victims attending the emergency room every day. Almost 200,000 of these people suffered injuries that required an extended stay at the hospital.
While all fatal car accidents are tragic, those that involve drunk driving are often particularly disturbing. This is because drunk driving accidents are so easily preventable.
