Montana 3-vehicle car accident kills 1, injuries 3 others

People in Montana and everywhere else know when they get into a motor vehicle, whether as a driver or a passenger, they take on the risk of becoming involved in a crash. Even pedestrians and cyclists who travel on or near roadways can suffer injury or death due to a car accident. Of course, in most cases, people arrive at their destination with no incident at all, but tragic events can and do happen, and in some cases, a person's life can change drastically in a matter of seconds, often because of one person's negligence. This may have been the case for three people who were injured in a three-vehicle crash northwest of Whitefish.

Reportedly, a 20-year-old Whitefish woman was turning at an intersection on a recent Friday evening, but she failed to yield to traffic. A southbound vehicle T-boned the woman's car, then hit a pickup truck traveling north before landing in a ditch. The vehicle that had been turning was forced off the road as a result.

The occupants of the southbound car, two men in their 20s, suffered injuries from the crash. The 42-year-old man driving the pickup truck was not injured, while the 43-year-old female passenger of that vehicle was injured in the car accident. Sadly, the young woman driving the car that seems to have caused the crash was pronounced dead at the scene. The Montana Highway Patrol have said they suspect alcohol was a factor in the incident.

Although the extent of the victims' injuries is not known, one or more of them may very well be enduring significant pain and suffering and perhaps even life-changing consequences. Unfortunately, a woman who seems to be responsible died in this car accident, but if evidence found during the investigation indicates negligence and/or reckless action on her part caused the crash, her estate could be held accountable. An experienced Montana personal injury attorney would be a valuable resource in this circumstance.
