A fatal car accident in Montana left one woman dead and a man injured recently. The afternoon incident happened at an intersection near Bozeman.
Police say the woman was trying to turn left onto the Frontage Road when her car collided with the other victim's truck. The woman died at the scene while the man was rushed to the hospital. A state trooper said that the intersection has been the scene of other car crashes in the past and is a known danger to motorists. There have been multiple accidents in the very same area because of how many cars are on that particular stretch of road.
The police are still investigating this particular car accident. The possibility that speed and alcohol played a part in causing the accident has not been ruled out entirely. Authorities may also decide to take a closer look at the dangerous intersection and consider installing traffic signals and signs to make it safer. Although accidents are typically unintentional, sometimes it simply boils down to the reckless or negligent behavior of motorists or unnecessarily dangerous road conditions.
Being involved in an accident can be costly as well as traumatizing. The costs can range from medical expenses to lost pay. Coping with the financial burdens and emotional strain such an event brings may involve going to court to seek compensation. In order to successfully pursue a claim and collect compensation, it may be wise to seek legal advice from an attorney who is familiar with personal injury cases and can help victims build their case against a negligent party.
