With the increase in winter weather, Montana roads can become more hazardous and require greater care when traveling. When a motorist becomes victim to the negligent driving of another party, they may seek legal action for any financial damages they incurred. The life lost in a recent four car accident was that of a young woman who lost control of her vehicle and may be responsible for the cascade of damage left in her wake.
Reports indicate that the tragic car accident took place on a snowy afternoon recently when a young woman driving her Jeep lost control on a local frontage road. The Montana Highway Patrol voiced their belief that the driver was operating her vehicle beyond safe speeds for the inclement conditions on the roads. This caused her to collide with an SUV in oncoming traffic, which sent her Jeep rolling into a trench on the opposite side of the road.
The SUV was sent spinning on impact and came to a rest in the center of the roadway. A passerby brought their car near the SUV to offer assistance when another car collided with both of them. The drivers and passengers of the three cars which collided in the roadway after the initial car accident survived with minimal injury, though the young woman driving the Jeep lost her life in the accident.
The car accident is still under investigation and may reveal additional causes for the car accident. The victims who were hurt may seek compensation for their property damage and personal injuries. To do so, they will need to establish that the negligence of another party either caused or materially contributed to the accident and injuries that resulted. With a life lost in a recent four car accident, others may choose to drive more carefully and attempt to maintain distance from drivers who appear to be driving negligently.
