It can happen to anyone at any time, without warning. All it takes is one driver, distracted by texting or overly tired due to lack of sleep. If a driver are not paying close enough attention to their surroundings, before anyone realizes what is happening, there could be yet another car accident on the road.
This happened recently in Billings, Montana, when a pickup truck apparently ran a stop sign and collided with a sports car. The impact of the crash sent the car rolling over several times. Eventually, the vehicle smashed into another mid-sized car before coming to a complete stop approximately 110 feet from where the original crash took place.
Both the driver of the pickup truck and the driver of the car were taken to a nearby hospital. While their injuries were deemed not to be life-threatening, each driver appeared to have sustained broken bones in the crash.
The pickup truck driver later received a citation for failing to yield the right of way when he came to the stop sign. It also was discovered he was driving without insurance on his truck, so authorities cited him for this infraction as well.
Regardless of the circumstances, car accidents can take a lot of time and energy to investigate and settle, especially when several vehicles are involved. Car accident injuries frequently take away from the injured person's everyday life. It is important to properly determine liability and hold the responsible parties accountable. An experienced motor vehicle accident attorney can help people who have been injured in accidents.
